Freezing
This move to Iowa has really been a huge adjustment. I'm one of those obnoxious people who is cold all the time, summers in Texas I would wear socks and hoodies in the house because G would have the air conditioning on. So here I am the weather people are calling for a BEAUTIFUL warm day. I need to write them a letter.

Dear Weatherman,
A beautiful nice day is not 27 degrees but feels 14. I am cold. You got me excited for nothing. Jerk!

Love,
The girl with two shirts on, socks, jammie pants and a blankie wrapped around her.

In better news Lola has decided that all she requires to wear is a hoodie, diaper and snow boots. More power to her.

We went cheap on a Christmas tree. When you mix my flair for what is cheapest with all the good trees being gone you get a white tree with multi color lights that looks like a Hello Kitty head should be on top with tons of Hello Kitty ornaments. It is tacky fabulous and looks nothing like the box picture which could be that 1. no-one really spread out the branches in my house 2. they lied to try and make it look pretty. I vote for both. I tried wrapping a ribbon around it to make it look a little better, now it just looks like a cheap tree with lame branches with a ribbon around it. Go me!

We have decided to do Mexican for Christmas Dinner. Neither G or I are really big on turkey or ham and since we wont have any family here we can do what we want (neener neener) Last year we BBQed steaks but face it, its too damn cold to BBQ now. Christmas Eve we will do the tradition of cold cut sandwiches, overnight salad, chips and dip and cookies etc. I'm sure you are glad I shared.

I may come back here to type more later. I think its time for me to kill a few things on wow.

Procrastinators Group meets here tomorrow!
I started this blog last year with great intentions of telling the story of our lives with five girls. I never did get very far. I have promised a friend to blog over here with her now (Hi Mel!) So, expect some crazy stories from behind the scenes of our insane life.

Things that have happened to us in the last year.
1. Our oldest moved out. (What a jerk! We miss her too.)
2. Our 4 year old started school and fell head over heels for learning.
3. G gets a job promotion and we plan for the move to IOWA! (wtf Iowa?!)
4. We procrastinate and the move is a total pain because we procrastinated so long (do you sense a pattern?)
5. We spent a lot of money on toilet paper and girl products.
6. We had a pool this summer and had a blast!
7. We met the fire dept when our air conditioner blew up. (that wasnt much fun)

Right now my girls are sailing the seven seas on their pretend pirate ship they have build under Daddys computer table. I think I might join them and sing a round of Yo ho ho!

So many changes
Eleanor started school.
Allyson got her drivers license.
G's job is going really well.
The house is still a mess so at least something is staying the same, too much change might freak me out.

First movies

We took Eleanor to her first movie. She got popcorn,a soda and a little bit of candy and did well until the very end where she got a bit ancey but I am sure that was because there were other kids running around and as we all know our social butterflies do not have other people to play with where we live.

Lola is going to get alone time with Mom and Dad today. She might bust a gut. ha! Poor thing is going to get a trip to the grocery store but she never gets us alone.

Ally is working all the time and I think we might see her today. Caty is getting into her photography and art! A boy has even asked her to draw something up for his next tattoo. She was shocked!

I've been reading another Mom's journal and her journey with her child who was taken. I am thinking about starting a blog just for Mia and our journey. I am not sure if I will share with everyone just yet but if I decide to take it public I will post about it here.

So Tired!
  • The babies are working on a high pitched screech that has my ear drums bleeding and crying out in pain.
  • The pool turned green overnight and looks nasty. I hope shock will fix that nasty little bit.
  • Tacos are on the menu for dinner tonight. We love tacos.
  • Eleanor is going through a mean stage. She gets that from Glenn.
  • Lola is now announcing things about herself. Except she cannot say Lola: it sounds more like Doda. Doda's juice! Doda's woob! Doda's computer! (yes, she has her own computer.)
  • We recently talked to Allyson and Caty's biological Father after 13 years. It is sad how some people do not change.
  • I wish it was time for tacos.
  • Eleanor is in a 4t now and Lola in a 2t! When did they get so big?
  • Allyson made her first official "bust" the other day. Go Yaya!!
  • Caty has been working on her photography and joined jpgmagazine.com find her there!
  • I think I repeated myself a bunch in this, and I have no idea why I did it in a list.
I leave you with cutest kid ever videos!

Lola loves opera and sings with it. I wish I could get a video where you can actually hear her sing.

Ignore the mess around her. They were coloring and I was ironing. That is my story and I am sticking to it! :D
